This is a probe into the internal condition of a continent, that used to think of itself as a utopian place – a place of origin, a place of history, a place of the future. While it was quite too often the battleground of bad ideas, and therefore more than once a dystopian place, it also beared within itself the great promises of the past and the future. Utopian promises were instilled in it from its birth. It´s history and traditions became world standard in a way. But has it helped? Did it create a lasting or even eternal peace? Obviously, that´s not the case. Today as always, the contintent once again presents itself distorted and rattled by crises and nervousness. So is Europe still a „good place“ – a Eutopia? Has it ever been one? Does the ancient promise still reside somewhere? We´ll find out in this Series.
